Summer is ending and fall is just around the corner, so SweetBay is celebrating with a fall concert series. Notes of Fall brings free live music and family-friendly entertainment to Bay County residents, encouraging community members to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Taking place in Academy Square Park across from University Academy, Notes of Fall is open to the general public. With food trucks at every event and lawn games galore, Notes of Fall has something for everyone. Bring your own lawn chairs and cooler for six fun-filled nights of live music!
The Fall Festival Kickoff on Tuesday, September 20th will be an event to remember! While the adults sit and enjoy the sounds of the Will Thompson Band, kids can get their faces painted and visit the arts and crafts table. Organized by the Bay Arts Alliance, the Craft Corner gives kids of all ages a fun project and a souvenir craft they can bring back home.
Concert dates alternate between Tuesday and Friday through the end of October to give everyone a chance to attend no matter their schedule! After the kickoff, True Soul will ring in the weekend with soulful R&B on Friday, September 30th. On Tuesday, October 4th, Dion Jones and the Neon Tears bring country flair to Academy Square Park, so put on your cowboy boots and get ready to dance! Then, on Friday, October 14th, Blackwater Brass Band’s funk/pop blend is sure to get everyone grooving. Chris Godber’s smooth jazz rounds out the concert schedule on Tuesday, October 18th.
And last but not least, Sons of Saint are throwing it back to the ’80s & ’90s for our Halloween Closing celebration on Friday, October 28th! Keep your eyes peeled for Halloween fun when you’re not too busy dancing to your favorite throwback jams. From golf carts decorated by our own SweetBay residents to cute and spooky pet costumes, Notes of Fall is wrapping things up with a bang.
